When accounts are enabled, we may collect a parent's name and contact details, subscription records, child profile identifiers, selected class, learning activity, quiz responses and progress. Final data fields and service providers must be confirmed.
Children's personal data and parental consent
GyanPilot is intended for schoolchildren. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including Section 9, processing children's personal data requires verifiable parental or lawful guardian consent, subject to applicable commencement dates and exceptions. Before collecting personal data for child profiles, GyanPilot must implement and document an appropriate verification and consent workflow compliant with applicable law and the DPDP Rules, 2025. This draft does not claim that the workflow is already operational.
We must not conduct prohibited tracking or behavioural monitoring of children or direct targeted advertisements to children, except where a lawful exception applies. The proposed learning-progress feature requires a legal and technical assessment.
